Working on the zipper seat for Ford’s 2019 was a nice little challenge. Upon starting the seat there was no pipeline or tools in place to create the zipper and it’s rail. This meant that I could experiment with a few different techniques in order to get the result I believe looked the mode accurate. Originally there was an idea to have this animated, so this would also have to be taken into account. This proved not to be the case by the end and was only used for static imagery.

When it later came to setting up and creating the product imagery the zipper rail would unfortunately not be visible in the final output. This was also the first time that I had had my work printed into a brochure. However because the zipper seat is only available on a spec not being sold in the UK, it meant the only copies with the images in weren’t printed in English.
