This model of a Drager breathing apparatus was created as a part of some training material for the London Fire Brigade.
The intention of the training was to give their trainees detailed information and understanding of all the equipment that they would be wearing and operating during their training but also when on call.
Due to the various components that make up the breathing apparatus the user had a number of areas that would be interactive. Once clicked would show more information about its usage and operational details. In some cases, this would also be followed up with a number of graphical elements giving visual interest to what was contained in the text.
Later on in the project, the client wanted to show renders of firefighters tackling fires in a few different scenarios. This meant that the breathing apparatus would later have to be rigged and modified to fit a newly created firefighter character model.
